Rockledge Police responded to the scene of a shooting at Hammock Harbor Apartments that injured a 15-year-old early Sunday morning.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Rockledge Police responded to the scene of a shooting early Sunday morning at Hammock Harbor Apartments that hospitalized a 15-year-old child.

Police say the 15-year-old was found injured with a gunshot wound when officers arrived at the scene.

The teen was transported by helicopter to Arnold Palmer with a trauma alert.

Police arrested 35-year-old Chanel Williams in a connection to the case.

Williams was not the shooter, according to the report. The shooter in case has not been arrested.

Williams is charged with child neglect, providing a minor with a gun and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and unsafe storage of a gun.
