A 29-year-old Cocoa man has died Monday night after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a vehicle on Sisson Rd. and Grissom Pkwy.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 29-year-old Cocoa man has died Monday night after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a vehicle on Sisson Rd. and Grissom Pkwy. in Titusville, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the 29-year-old was traveling southbound on Sisson Rd. on his 2020 Harley Davidson when he attempted to pass a vehicle in a marked ‘No Passing Zone’ in the northbound lane.

Meanwhile, a 2010 Nissan Altima, driven by a 75-year-old Melbourne man, was beginning to make a U-Turn when the motorcyclist crashed into the side of the vehicle around 6:26 p.m.

The result of the crash caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from the bike.

He was eventually transported to Parrish Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
