32-Year-Old Melbourne Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Eau Gallie Causeway

A 32-year-old man from Melbourne died early this morning after police officers discovered that the motorcyclists had life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash on the Eau Gallie Causeway.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A 32-year-old man from Melbourne died early this morning after police officers discovered that the motorcyclists had life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash on the Eau Gallie Causeway.

The man is identified as 32-year-old Michael M. Maloney.

Police say they discovered Maloney around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday.

The motorcyclist was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center where he died from those injuries.

The initial investigation reveals the motorcycle was traveling westbound on the Eau Gallie Causeway when he left the travel lanes and struck the concrete barrier wall.

The crash is still under investigation.
