Boaters asked to move their vessels accordingly
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County announced Saturday night that it will lock down the Mathers Bridge in the vehicle traffic only position on Sunday, August 2.
The action, currently scheduled for 7 a.m. Sunday is part of Brevard County’s preparations for the arrival of potentially severe weather conditions from Tropical Storm Isaias.
County officials say the lock down is needed to protect the bridge from severe damage that could result from high winds.
Boaters are asked to move their vessels accordingly.
