BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Commission presented Lisa Waters of the Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution with a proclamation.

Waters attended the Brevard County Commission meeting on Sept. 13 and was presented with a resolution proclaiming Sept. 17-23 as Constitution Week.

The Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter was organized on November 30, 1932, and Lucille Peck Berg, a descendant of this family, was the Organizing Regent of the 85-year-old chapter.

“Our chapter was named after Abigail Wright Chamberlin, daughter of Remembrance, and Elizabeth Wright,” said Waters.

“She was a pioneer wife and mother whose husband, Richard Chamberlin, and their eight sons served in the American Revolution.”
