Brevard County has been awarded $4.5 Million in HOME-ARP funding
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County HOME Consortium is seeking comments from the general public on the draft Substantial Amendment to the fiscal year 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan to include the HOME-ARP funding.
Brevard County has been awarded $4,5 million in HOME-ARP funding and the purpose is to utilize the funding in the following categories:
■ Supportive services
■ Development of affordable rental housing
■ Non-profit operating, non-profit capacity building
■ Administration and planning, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability
The funding must primarily benefit qualifying individuals who are experiencing homelessness; individuals at risk of homelessness; persons fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking; and other populations where providing supportive services or assistance would prevent homelessness or would serve those at greatest risk of housing instability.
FIFTEEN-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: There will be a public comment period that will open on March 3 and close at 5 p.m. on March 20 for the draft HOME-ARP Allocation Plan.
