BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA – Once again our continued enforcement efforts on the known nuisance house located on Delespine Road in Port St. John have led to the arrest of two drug suspects.

Tuesday evening, North Precinct Patrol Deputy Charles Hill was on routine patrol in the 4200 block of Delespine Road when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle following a traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle was subsequently identified as Michelle Ray Baird and the passenger as Jeremy Shane Felty.

During the traffic investigation, Felty provided Deputy Hill with a false name and then attempted to flee on foot.

After a very brief foot pursuit, Felty was taken into custody as he quickly learned that if you run from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office you are only going to go to jail tired.

A subsequent search, incidental to his arrest found Felty to be in possession of approximately 80 grams of Methamphetamine and other controlled substances as well as Drug Paraphernalia.

It was further determined that Felty was also on felony drug probation and had two active felony warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, Michelle Baird, was also found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia and also had an additional active warrant for her arrest for possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Baird was arrested and transported to the Brevard County Jail and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and the active warrant for her arrest under a $24,000 bond.

Felty was transported to the Brevard County Jail and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of another Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of Felony Probation.

Felty is currently enjoying one of our best cells with a wonderful view of the cell next to it as he is being held under a no-bond status.

As you know, I love sharing with our community the amazing job our BCSO Team does each and every day to keep our citizens safe.

Deputy Hill who is an incredible member of our team and also proudly served in the US Army Airborne before his service with the Sheriff’s Office did an outstanding job at taking these two individuals and their drugs off our streets and out of this neighborhood.

Please join me in thanking Deputy Hill for his outstanding efforts in protecting our community and putting these two offenders exactly where they belong, behind bars.
