JT Hassell led the Gulf South Conference in tackles, solo tackles, tackles per game and forced fumbles. He also set Florida Tech records for total tackles and solo tackles in a game. At Florida Tech, Hassell dominated the opposition. In his junior season, he was named to the second-team All-Gulf South Conference, and led the team and finished fifth in the conference with 78 total tackles.

On Wednesday, the Gulf South Conference released it 2018 All-Conference teams and four Panthers were among the student-athletes recognized by the league. J.T. Hassell, Adonis Davis, and Romell Guerrier were named to the All-GSC First Team while Antwuan Haynes earned second-team honors.
