Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama and Clinton supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce.
As Vic Luebker states in his January 13th column, there is no question there is a great need in our community for services to help children.
On Tuesday night, the Brevard Delegation voted down, 1-5, a proposed local Bill by Brevard Delegation Chairman, Representative Randy Fine, that would have improved the ability for Brevard County to work with the City of Melbourne, and to have respected the home rule powers of both.
In regard to your recent article, “Q&A: Brevard County Commission Chair Kristine Isnardi Moves to Abolish Future Property Tax Hike,” I think this is a great story about why we elect leaders that protect the citizens they serve.
Tuesday’s election results show Brevard voters think for themselves, and in so doing lean more conservative than some local media, the political establishment and would-be kingmakers would like. Nowhere is this more evident than in the District 53 house race and the District 2 commission race.
My agenda is to protect Florida’s small business from potentially harmful policies authored by legislators who are egregiously ignorant of an industry they wish to further regulate: Web advertising and social media advertising.
