BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Panthers men’s soccer team receive the first loss of the season after falling 2-0 to Lenoir-Rhyne.
STATS OF THE MATCH:
■ After a scoreless first half, Lenoir-Rhyne took the lead at the 53′ mark
■ The Bears would score one more off a long ball to pull away 2-0 at 84′
■ Lenoir-Rhyne outshot tech 16-8.
■ Tech tied the Bears in corners 5-5.
■ Luis Tovar Romero recorded 4 saves on the match.
■ Lenoir-Rhyne led the game in fouls 12-10
“It was a tough night for us,” said head coach Robin Chan.
“We lacked the final product tonight, some guys struggled to get going due to the short turnaround after Thursday’s game. When we take a step back and reflect, we’ll see it has been a productive trip. The importance of going through the ups and downs this weekend will only give us the opportunity to grow.”
