ABOVE VIDEO: Melbourne Police Officers Peter Dolci, Officer Luke Drummer and a Good Samaritan are being heralded for their heroic actions on Tuesday after Officer Dolci responded to the Eau Gallie boat ramps around 1 a.m. when he was flagged down by a citizen who frantically stated that a car had just driven into the water on the north side of the Eau Gallie Causeway.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police Officers Peter Dolci, Officer Luke Drummer and a Good Samaritan are being heralded for their heroic actions on Tuesday after Officer Dolci responded to the Eau Gallie boat ramps around 1 a.m. when he was flagged down by a citizen who frantically stated that a car had just driven into the water on the north side of the Eau Gallie Causeway.

Officer Dolci ran over and noticed a 2013 Hyundai on its side submerged in the water, with the driver’s side of the vehicle being completely submerged.

Officer Dolci jumped into the water and was able to extract the driver, along with the assistance of Officer Luke Dummer, where they then carried the driver up the embankment putting them on a solid level surface to immediately began CPR.

Police say the driver had no pulse and was not breathing at the time they initiated CPR.

The officers continued CPR measures until Brevard County Fire Rescue arrived and took over life saving measures.

As of Tuesday morning, the woman  is breathing on their own and is in stable condition, according to police.
