BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team tied Hamilton College in a match-play event Thursday at Duran Golf Club.

Jamie Chepenik won his match on the 18th hole to give the Titans the tie with each team scoring 4.5 points.

Masen McKain won 5 and 4, Adam Vermut won 3 and 2 and Malik Laghjichi won 1-up.

Bryan Hernandez halved his match.

“Six of the nine matches made it to the 18th hole so it was good competition for all with a match play format seldom used in competition,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

The men’s golf team will compete in the Barry Buccaneer Invitational on April 1 and 2.
