Ngorka leading the region in rebounding averaging 13.2 rebounds per game

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball player Rapuluchi Ngorka has been named the NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Week.

The freshman forward from Madrid, Spain scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to go along with five steals and six blocks in the Titans’ 77-65 victory over Miami Dade on Friday.

It is the first Region 8 honor for Ngorka who is leading the region in rebounding averaging 13.2 rebounds per game and comes into the week averaging 15.7 points per game which leads the team.

Ngorka is the first Titans women’s basketball player to be named Region 8 Player of the Week this season.

The women’s basketball team will travel to Niceville to play in the Northwest Florida State Classic this weekend.

The 8-2 Titans will play Pearl River Community College on Friday afternoon and then Bishop State Community College at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
