Titans travel to Polk State College on Wednesday

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team exploded for a season-high 13 goals Saturday against Pasco-Hernando State College at Orlando Health Stadium.
The No. 1 ranked Titans improved to 8-0 on the season with the 13-1 victory. It marks the biggest goal differential since the Titans beat ASA Miami 17-0 in the 2017 season.
Eastern Florida State College had 11 different players score in the contest as Nancy Almanza got things started with a goal 13 minutes in the contest.
It was one of two goals in the first half for Almanza, who now has four on the season.
Lea Monteiro also had two goals, both also coming in the first half for the Titans. It was the first two goals of the season for Monteiro.
Lena Stevens, Morgan Gamin, Isabelle Cassidy Bernier, and Samira Roper also all scored in the first half as the Titans held an 8-1 lead at halftime.
The second half was more of the same as all five goal scorers scored for the first time this season.
Cali Stranz scored less than five minutes into the second half, and less than a minute later, Alba Embid scored to make it 10-1.
Akatarinha Papagiorgio scored with 17 minutes left in the match, with Mia Elliott and Brooklyn McDuffie also scoring goals in the win.
Eastern Florida State College will hit the road on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Polk State College for a key Region 8 Conference match at 4 p.m.
