BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Educators, community leaders, and families broke bread together for the fifth straight Temple Terrace Boys and Girls Club Thanksgiving feast in Melbourne.

Brevard Public Schools Board Chairman Matt Susin, Brevard Home Builders and Contractors Association Director John Thomas, and a host of various local companies sponsored turkey dinners and all the sides for the parents and children who live in the Temple Terrace community.

Teachers and administrators from Eau Gallie High School, Croton Elementary and Johnson Middle schools attended on their vacation to show their commitment to their students.

“This event is a way that Boys & Girls Clubs can show our love and support not just for the members that are inside the club, but also the community that we are based in,” said Anwar Hunte, Director of the Temple Terrace Club.

Brevard Public Schools Board Chairman Matt Susin, Brevard Home Builders and Contractors Association Director John Thomas, and a host of various local companies sponsored turkey dinners and all the sides for the parents and children who live in the Temple Terrace community.

Susin gave credit to John Thomas, the director of the HBCA and other individuals who have continued each year to sponsor the event with up to 17 turkeys, fixings, and sides for over 100 attendees each year.

“One of the most important aspects of our community is how we treat our children and teaching them by example,” said Thomas.

“That’s why we are honored to team up with School Board Chairman Matt Susin and the Boys and Girls Club to not only provide but to serve our community’s youth and their families a special Thanksgiving dinner.”

At the end of the dinner the volunteers made deliveries to the families who were not able to attend because of physical disabilities.

If you are interested in attending next year, please call John Thomas at the HBCA of Melbourne at 321-254-3700 or email info@spacecoasthbca.org.
