The identity of the victim has not yet been released by authorities
BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol Troopers were on the scene of a fatal vehicle crash that occurred early Friday morning.
The crash, which resulted in the death of a pedestrian, occurred on N. Courtenay Parkway and Queensland Avenue in Merritt Island.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released by authorities.
According to Florida Highway Patrol and Public Information Officer Tara Crescenzi, the crash involved a 2017 Jeep Limited, a 2018 Chevy Sonic and an adult pedestrian.
“Both drivers were not injured and remained on-scene,” said Lt. Crescenzi. “The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on-scene.”
Traffic Homicide Investigators were on the scene investigating the fatal collision, and this crash remains under investigation.
