Sophomore Laura Cetina was named the Region 8 Player of the Year

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Five members of the Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team were named to the All-Region 8 First Team.
Sophomore Laura Cetina was named the Region 8 Player of the Year as the midfielder scored 13 goals this season and assisted on three others for the Titans who made it to the semifinals of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament for the sixth straight season.
Fellow sophomore and midfielder Kailey Dunne finished the season with four goals and five assists and was also named to the first team.
Freshman Nancy Almanza scored 10 times and had four assists as the forward from DeLand was named to the all-Region 8 team.
Defenders Logan Humbert and Sofia Posner were both named to the first team after helping the Titan’s defense to another trip to the national tournament.
Eastern Florida State College finished the season 12-3.
