BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech is offering a six-week summer program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors that provides chemistry, calculus, physics, and algebra courses specifically designed to prepare students with diverse educational backgrounds for a STEM-focused education in college.

The Pre-College STEM Pathway Program offers in-person and live, virtual classes supervised by Florida Tech faculty members Monday through Thursday from June 20 through July 28.

The courses offered are College Algebra Review, Countdown to Calculus, Introduction to Physics, and Introductory Chemistry.

Participants may enroll in more than one class – they are scheduled so as not to overlap – and if they opt for virtual, they may attend synchronously or asynchronously. The cost is $300 per course.

Each Friday will feature 90-minute virtual enrichment sessions that will include a variety of events such as career panels with industry partners and STEM professionals and an undergraduate program expo.

Because this is a non-credit program, it will include learning activities that are meant to serve as enrichment opportunities in place of exams and assessments. Students who complete the course activities will be provided with certificates of completion.

The STEM Pathway program is partially sponsored by Leonardo DRS, Collins Aerospace and the Jim and Jonnie Swann Corp. Financial support may be available.

To register, click on the individual course below, or visit the Pathway Program page for registration, course descriptions, and additional information:

■ College Algebra Review
