Hospice of Health First has received this award every year since the program launched five years ago
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Hospice of Health First has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2021 calendar year.
The annual SHPBest award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently offer high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care.
The 2021 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,000 hospice providers.
With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.
“SHP is proud to present the SHPBest awards to our top-performing customers. We commend these organizations for their continuous focus on delivering the highest quality of care to their patients,” said Rob Paulsson, President of SHP.
Hospice of Health First has received this award every year since the program launched five years ago. It is the only hospice provider in Brevard County – and in the entire state of Florida – to receive it.
The Health First Hospice team faced the same challenges every healthcare provider faced during the past few years of the pandemic, which makes earning this award even more remarkable. Health First is committed to ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care, no matter the circumstances.
“Being recognized with this award from SHP is simply validation of the dedication and commitment our teams show every single day,” said Valerie Kenworthy, Vice President of Clinical Operations for Health First Retail Services.
“Hospice care is not a job, it is a calling. It is an honor to help people live their best life in their final days on Earth. Our commitment to listening to feedback from patients and families challenges us to always grow and improve the way we deliver our services in a meaningful way. We are thankful for the families who entrust their loved ones to our care, and we will continue do whatever we can to ease their difficult journey.”
