Recipients must receive the same brand of vaccine as previously administered
Booster shots will only be available for those who received the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, not Johnson & Johnson.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – With Brevard’s wellness and health at the forefront, Health First stands ready to administer ‘booster’ COVID-19 vaccination shots for the immunocompromised, based on the FDA’s latest recommendations.
People who fall under this category, which includes those who have undergone a solid organ transplant, are welcome to receive theirs at either of our two Brevard County vaccination clinics:
■ Health First Family Pharmacy – Gateway (1223 Gateway Drive)
■ Health First Family Pharmacy – Viera (8725 N. Wickham Road)
Both locations are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Booster shots will only be available for those who received the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, not Johnson & Johnson. Recipients must receive the same brand of vaccine as previously administered.
These cases will be served on a walk-in basis only, and patients are required to bring a paper physician’s prescription order to receive their third dose, as well as their CDC COVID-19 vaccination card, for verification purposes.
“We are eager to help further safeguard our community from COVID-19, including this important step of offering added protection for the most medically vulnerable in Brevard,” said Health First spokesman Lance Skelly.
