Melbourne Man, 22, Dies in Crash After Losing Control of Sport Utility Vehicle on I-95

Crash happened around 3:50 a.m. Saturday morning

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal accident involving a 22-year-old man crashing a sport utility vehicle traveling Southbound on I-95.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal accident Saturday morning involving a 22-year-old man crashing a sport utility vehicle traveling southbound on I-95 near mile marker 185.

The 22-year-old man residing in Melbourne lost control of the vehicle and struck a guard rail around 3:50 a.m. Saturday morning.

State troopers say the vehicle overturned, causing the driver to be ejected out of the vehicle.

The man involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not identified the victim.

In accordance to a state policy by Florida Highway Patrol, the names of victims in crashes will not be released by the public. FHP cites the Constitution of the State of Florida for new change.

The crash remains under investigation.
