ten $5,000 scholarships available for eligible students
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter is taking applications now through June 15 for ten $5,000 scholarships for eligible students.
Eligibility criteria include:
■ Be a college junior or senior, or a 1st year or 2nd-year graduate student in the upcoming fall semester.
■ Be a descendant or ward of a currently serving active duty or retired member of the Uniformed Services of the United States, (including Regular, National Guard or Reserve enlisted and officers of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, NOAA or USPHS); OR a descendant or ward of a deceased member of the Uniformed Services of the U.S., who died while on active duty or in retired status; OR a descendant or ward of a current member (or former member, if deceased) of MOAACC.
■ The sponsor/student must be a legal resident of Brevard County Florida OR a descendant or ward of a current or deceased member of the MOAACC.
■ Be accepted by an accredited college or university as a full-time student (minimum 12 semester credit hours or equivalent) in a program leading to a baccalaureate degree, or enrolled in an accredited graduate program as a full-time student (minimum 9 semester hours per term or equivalent) in a program leading to a graduate degree.
