NFL’s Jawaan Taylor Buys Tickets for Cocoa Football Team, Staff to Attend Jaguars vs. Cowboys Game

Cocoa High alum Jawaan taylor plays offensive tackle for Jacksonville

WATCH: Space Coast Sports Hall of Famer, and current Jacksonville Jaguar Jawaan Taylor, congratulated the Cocoa Tigers on their thrilling state championship overtime victory on Friday night.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Sports Hall of Famer, and current Jacksonville Jaguar Jawaan Taylor, is sponsoring game tickets for the entire coaching staff, athletic trainers, athletic director, and principal for the Jaguars against the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday, December 18.

The former Cocoa Tiger standout was inducted into the Space Coast Sports Hall of fame in 2020.

The Tigers claimed their 5th state title in school history after defeating the Florida State University High School Seminoles in overtime 38-31 at the 2022 FHSAA Class 2S State Championship at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee on Friday.

This back-and-forth matchup lived up to the hype of a state championship game with consistent scoring, numerous lead changes, and an overtime shootout.

Cocoa’s scoring came in a variety of ways. Quarterback Blake Boda and receivers Day Day Farmer and CJ Bragg each had a touchdown. Senior cornerback Caleb Dobbs came up with a game-changing pick-6 in the second half.

Cocoa Head Coach Ryan Schneider won his first state championship as head coach of the Tigers.

This becomes Cocoa High School’s fifth state championship in school history and the first since 2016.

The Tigers were able to redeem themselves this season after falling short during last year’s title run.
