Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother

Cheryl M LaBonte, 78, of Rockledge, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2023. Cheryl was born in Holyoke, MA, on August 24, 1944, to Arther and Gertrude (Helm) St. Jean. She spent most of her life in Western MA, with the exception of the last 20 years in Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cheryl M LaBonte, 78, of Rockledge, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2023. Cheryl was born in Holyoke, MA, on August 24, 1944, to Arther and Gertrude (Helm) St. Jean.

She spent most of her life in Western MA, with the exception of the last 20 years in Florida.

Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her hobbies included crafts, sewing, painting, and music. She received her associate degree at the age of 67, in business, from Polk State Community College.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George LaBonte, her son Jeffrey E. LaBonte Sr. and his wife, Judy, of Westhampton, MA, her Daughter Angela M Mumblow, and husband Jonathan, of Rockledge, FL and daughter Pamela S. Murphy of Rockledge FL, eight grandchildren-Jeffrey, Meghan, Samuel, Christian, Marissa, Monica, Timothy, and Bayleigh; and six great-grandchildren – Logan, Lily, Charlotte, Penelope, Dean, and Finn, along with many nieces and nephews.

Cheryl is predeceased by her sisters Beverly Suleski, Sandra LaRocque, Donna St. Jean, and brother Keith Bergeron.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at LifePoint Church, in Chicopee, MA, on May 27, 2023, at 11 a.m.
