BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – Susan A (Quick) King passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at her home in Mims, Florida. She was 61 years old. Mrs. King was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, grew up in Avalon New Jersey before moving to Florida.
She owned a small cleaning business for many years. Mrs. King loved plants and gardening which was reflected around her home and also loved and cared for a variety of pets including parrots, cats, dogs and other rescues. She did volunteer work at local ASPCA organizations when she could.
Mrs. King also loved the sciences and so in hopes of making a difference, she donated her body to aid human kind in some way and will have a tree planted in her name.
Mrs. King was a daughter of Walter R. Quick and Patricia A. Ebersold (nee Ingold-Quick). She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie King whom she adored. Mrs. King is survived by her son Timothy D. King, a sister Lisa C. (Philip) Zollo (nee Quick) nieces Lindsay A. Gollnick, Kelcy T. Gollnick and nephew Robert M. Gollnick.
The family asks that anyone interested may make a donation to a local animal shelter in Mrs. King’s name.
We take comfort in knowing Susan was welcomed with open arms by our family who has gone before, and she is finally at peace. You are loved and we will miss you. Rest well on your journey.
