BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – David Michael Wade Sr. 73 of Titusville, Florida passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth Wade and his children: Denise Koukos (Nikolaos), David Wade Jr., and John Wade; and his beloved grandchildren: Aiden and Addison Koukos.

He was preceded in death by his father John Lester Wade and Mother Elizabeth McGiffin Dymock, his brothers Charles Shelton, Dennis Lester Wade, and infant son Dennis Michael Wade. David is survived by his siblings: Geraldine Ortz, Kathy Quinn (Gary), Nancy Rupert, Bonnie Jordan (Forest), and Thomas Dymock (Kim).

While David called Titusville home for many years, he was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania. He attended and graduated from AC Valley High School before he joined the Army where he was deployed to Vietnam. While in the military David received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and two Overseas Service Bars.

The dedication he showed to his country proved David to be a proud warrior. David worked as an assistant manager for Pantry Pride grocery store prior to taking a job for Carroll Distributing selling Eagle Snacks. He finished his career serving his community working for Westside Baptist Church.

David enjoyed classic cars which included his 1954 Oldsmobile Rocket 88, which he meticulously took care of. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending his time outside. David was a devoted family man who loved watching his grandson’s baseball games. He tended to include the local neighborhood as part of his extended family, which gave a place for everyone to call home when they needed one.

His larger-than-life personality held a soul too large for one person, so he shared the love he had with all those who needed it. The most prized position David had was his family, and he wore his pride of that like a badge of honor. He is, was, and will always be one of a kind. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Indian River United Methodist Church on Sunday April 24, 2022, at 1 p.m.

Military Honors will be held later at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Sculptor Charter Schools Playground Fundraiser.
