OBITUARY: U.S. Army Veteran James A. DePrizito, 80, of Palm Bay, Passed Away June 16

After the army Jim became a member of the Lynn Fire Department where he was employed until his retirement as Captain

James A. (Depo) DePrizito, formerly of Lynn, MA., age 80, (1942-2022) recently of Palm Bay, FL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 16, 2022. He passed away from cancer at home with his wife beside him.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – James A. (Depo) DePrizito, formerly of Lynn, MA., age 80, (1942-2022) recently of Palm Bay, FL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 16, 2022. He passed away from cancer at home with his wife beside him.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Ruthann DePrizito, of Palm Bay, Florida. He also leaves behind his son David DePrizito of Lynn, MA, stepdaughter Tracey Rossetti and Husband Dave of Lynn, MA, stepson Peter B. Phelan, Jr. of Carlisle, PA and stepdaughter Jill Hazard and husband Brian of Ormond Beach, FL.

Jim also leaves behind his brother John DePrizito and wife Sandra of Somersworth, NH, brother Frank DePrizito and wife Veronica, of Murphy NC, sister-in-law Marie DePrizito of Salem, MA, sister-in-law Sue A. Kyer and husband Rick of Lodi, Ohio and brother-in-law James Vickers of Medina, Ohio. Also several dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Jim was predeceased by his son James A. DePrizito, brother Anthony DePrizito, brother Joseph DePrizito and sister-in-law Donna L. Vickers.

Jim and Ruthann shared in the blessing of nine grandchildren. Anthony, Armani, Chris, Crystal, Alissa, Caitlyn, Kirsten, Tyler and Trey. They were also blessed with four great grandchildren. James, Laci, John and Charlie Josephine.

Jim is a veteran of the United States Army. After the army Jim became a member of the Lynn Fire Department where he was employed until his retirement as Captain of H-1 in 2000.

He then moved to Palm Bay, FL where he worked for the City of Melbourne, Mallards Landing Golf course. He retired completely in 2012.

Jim loved to work in his garden, golf, fish and cook. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Service Information: At Jim’s request there will be no service.
