Palm Bay Woman Dies After Vehicle Crashes Into Two Pedestrians near New Haven Avenue

A 25-year-old Palm Bay man was killed Tuesday night after a vehicle crashed into two pedestrians between New Haven Avenue and Melbourne Avenue.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A 25-year-old Palm Bay man was killed Tuesday night after a vehicle crashed into two pedestrians between New Haven Avenue and Melbourne Avenue.

The 25-year-old Palm Bay woman is identified as Rikki Brianna Grace.

Police say they responded to the crash scene around 7:14 p.m. on Tuesday near the area of Front
Street between New Haven Avenue and Melbourne Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that both of the pedestrians had life-threatening injuries as a result of the
crash and one of them later succumbed to those injuries at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

The initial investigation reveals that the vehicle, a Ford Pickup truck was traveling northbound on Front Street.

The pedestrians were walking on the sidewalk along the east side of the roadway when the operator of the vehicle, Robert Mitchell Lueck, 29, from Satellite Beach, lost control and left the roadway.

As he crossed the sidewalk, he struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian died as a result of his injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
