President Biden will deliver his first remarks on Afghanistan today at 3:45 p.m. ET from the East Room in the White House.

WASHINGTON D.C. – President Biden will deliver his first remarks since the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan today at 3:45 p.m. ET from the East Room in the White House.

The remarks will come after the Taliban has taken over Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, and has created a humanitarian crisis as thousands of Americans and civilians desperately attempt to flee Kabul.

Shocking videos and images are emerging from the tarmac at Kabul Airport as people storm the runways and cling to planes before takeoff. Multiple people have died as people have fallen to their death as planes depart the runway.

The chaos has forced officials to suspend all flights from Kabul Airport.
