Rotary Club of Cocoa Beach has been serving the community since 1958
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Four high school students from Sansepolcro, Italy, arrived on the Space Coast to begin a 10-day visit to learn about the U.S. Space Program.
The Space Coast is now seen by the world as the center place for U.S. Space activities within the ever-expanding U.S. Space exploration projects. With launches averaging 1-2 per week by commercial, NASA, and US Space Force customers and with industries flocking to the Space Coast with job opportunities in payload, launch, and other space development, the Space Coast is quickly developing an international reputation.
If you add to that our beaches, cruises, and other fun activities, no wonder Brevard and the Space Coast continue to expand.

The Rotary Club of Cocoa Beach has been serving the community and the world since 1958. The club of over 30 members is actively engaged in numerous projects focusing on education, the environment, and providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.
The club is currently participating in a bilateral exchange project between the Rotary Club of Cocoa Beach and the Rotary Club of Sansepolcro, Italy.
During this inaugural year, the intention is to promote aerospace culture to four high school seniors from Sansepolcro High School Città di Piero Thanks to donations of both time and funding from organizations such as NASA, KSC, Vaya Space, Titusville Space Museum, ETA Space, and Groundswell, these students will learn about space culture, technology, and real-life operations.
This will result in an opportunity for them to experience and participate in an environment rich in scientific innovation, with implications in various fields of study and research, so that they might become future astronauts to fly to the moon, Mars, and beyond.
The competition for the selection in Italy was very competitive, and the following two males and two females were selected to attend.
The cultural exchange for the American students will include a ten-days for selected Cocoa Beach High School students dedicated to familiarizing them with the Masters of the Renaissance.
The visit will include excursions to Sansepolcro and other cities in Tuscany and Umbria.
“Be sure to give them a warm Space Coast welcome when you see them around town in the next ten days,” said the Rotary Club of Cocoa Beach.
