BREVARD COUNTY • SPACE COAST, FLORIDA – The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast and the Space Coast Office of Tourism announced today the expansion of the Launches and Lagers program to include a new website, LaunchesandLagers.com, and a web-based mobile app.

First launched by the EDC in 2020, Launches and Lagers were created to educate professionals on the career and lifestyle opportunities available on Florida’s Space Coast. This creative, grass-roots campaign provides a unique resource to help build the competitive workforce needed to continue the positive economic momentum in the region.

“Launches and lagers continue to draw attention to the unparalleled lifestyle and career opportunities available on the Space Coast,” said EDC President and CEO Lynda L. Weatherman.

“By introducing this new site, and with the launch of the digital app, we are elevating the experience to bring further attention to our area for the talent needed to remain competitive on a global scale.”

Weatherman. “By introducing this new site, and with the launch of the digital app, we are elevating the experience to bring further attention to our area for the talent needed to remain competitive on a global scale.”

In 2022, the EDC partnered with the Space Coast Office of Tourism to introduce The Space Coast Beer Trail through Launches and Lagers. Users are encouraged to set off on a mission to earn an official Launches and Lagers Mission Patch by visiting featured establishments and watching one live launch on the Space Coast.

“Beer trails have become a popular experience across the country, and we wanted to highlight the incredible local breweries and distillery we have on the Space Coast,” says Executive Director of the Space Coast Office of Tourism Peter Cranis.

“What sets ours apart is the local tie to the space industry with clever beer names and including a rocket launch as part of the checklist.”

LaunchesandLagers.com provides a one-stop location for residents and visitors to explore the Space Coast Beer Trail, upcoming rocket launches, and the career and lifestyle opportunities found on Florida’s Space Coast.

Additionally, starting this summer, participants will be able to sign up to receive a free digital pass of the Space Coast Beer Trail Passport directly to their mobile devices through LaunchesandLagers.com, making this experience more accessible for both residents and visitors.
