Florida Highway Patrol Troopers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 25, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and Dairy Road in Titusville.

According to Lt. Crescenzi, Troopers arrested Holifield, who was driving a 2004 Toyota Sequoia northbound in the southbound inside lane of U.S. Highway 1.

A 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse, driven by the 20-year-old man from Titusville, was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 1 south of Dairy Road in the inside lane.

“The Toyota Sequoia was traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes,” said Lt. Crescenzi. “As a result, the front left of the Toyota struck the front left of the Mitsubishi. This caused the Toyota to overturn and come to final rest in the grass median.”
