BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to the scene of a lightning strike that injured two children in Merritt Island near a home on Via Salerno Court.
The victims, a 14-year old girl and a 12-year-old girl, were taken Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Cape Canaveral Hospital, respectively.
The condition of the girls has not been released.
