second pedestrian identified as Megan Taylor Grace from Palm Bay

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police announced on Thursday that the second pedestrian in the crash involving two pedestrians and a vehicle on Tuesday has died.
Police identified the second pedestrian as 26-year-old Megan Taylor Grace from Palm Bay.
The first pedestrian that died in the crash was identified as 25-year-old Rikki Brianna Grace from Melbourne.
At approximately 7:14 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, Melbourne Police responded to the area of Front Street between New Haven Avenue and Melbourne Avenue regarding a vehicle vs. two pedestrians’ crash.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that both of the pedestrians had life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash and one of them later succumbed to those injuries at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
The initial investigation reveals the vehicle, a Ford Pickup truck was traveling northbound on Front Street. The pedestrians were walking on the sidewalk along the east side of the roadway.
The operator of the vehicle lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway. As he crossed the sidewalk, he struck the pedestrians.
The crash is still under investigation.
The driver of the vehicle is identified as 29-year-old Robert Mitchell Lueck from Satellite Beach.
UPDATE: On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the Melbourne Police Department was notified that the second pedestrian involved in this crash, Megan Grace, had succumbed to her injuries sustained from this crash at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
