BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – After some creative suggestions from Brevard Public Schools students, Brevard Zoo is now inviting you to choose from three symbolic names for their entry road.
Students from 24 Brevard Public Schools sent in 24 options for the road that leads visitors from Wickham Road into the Zoo.
From the nominations, the following names were selected by the Zoo’s Education department for the public to make the final pick:
■ Animal Adventure Avenue, submitted by Westside Elementary
■ Discovery Drive, nominated by Discovery Elementary
■ Wildlife Way, suggested by Pinewood Elementary
“Brevard Zoo has seen such support from the community from its start,” said Executive Director Keith Winsten. “It felt right to bring in our community – especially our younger members – to come up with our new street name.”
