WATCH LIVE: SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Launch From Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

Launch slated for 1:18 a.m. ET

ABOVE VIDEO: The two-hour launch window opens on Tuesday, August 7 at 1:18 a.m. EDT, or 5:18 UTC. The satellite will be deployed approximately 32 minutes after liftoff.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX is set to launch their Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Merah Putih communications satellite from Cape Canaveral to Tuesday, August 7.

Launch window is slated to open at 1:18 a.m. ET.

The launch has been delayed from August 2 and August 4.

The satellite will provide C-band telecommunications services over Indonesia and India, replacing the aging Telkom 1 communications craft, according to SpaceFlight Now.

US Air Force weather forecast shows a 80-percent chance ‘go’ for launch early Tuesday morning.

Following stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

A two-hour backup launch window opens on Wednesday, August 8 at 1:18 a.m. EDT Falcon 9’s first stage for the Merah Putih mission previously supported the Bangabandhu Satellite-1 mission in May 2018.
