BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX is ready to launch a Falcon 9 rocket on Friday that will be carrying the first two O3b mPOWER broadband internet satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The satellites, built by Boeing, will provide internet services over most of the populated world, building on SES’s O3b network.
Launch window is open from 4:21 p.m.-5:49 p.m. ET.
The 87-minute launch window opens at 4:21 p.m. ET and a backup opportunity is available on Saturday, December 17 with the same window.
The Falcon 9’s first stage booster will land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
