BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – SpaceX is scheduled to launch a Falcon 9 rocket Wednesday, October 12, carrying the Hotbird 13F television broadcasting satellite for Eutelsat.
The two-hour launch opens at 11:25 p.m.
The latest weather report by the 45th Weather Squadron shows weather conditions will be 90-percent favorable on Wednesday.
Hotbird 13F is the first satellite to be built on Airbus’s new Eurostar Neo all-electric spacecraft design, and will provide television broadcast services to Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
The Falcon 9’s first-stage booster will land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
