Crash happened near the 5000 block of South Washington Avenue
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A woman was killed and a man was injured in a motorcycle vs. vehicle traffic crash at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday near the 5000 block of South Washington Avenue.
According to Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews, the preliminary investigation revealed driver Tyler John Zimmerman, 26, of Cocoa, along with passenger Kristen Ann Kief, 29, of West Virginia, on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling southbound on South Washington Avenue near the intersection of Riveredge Drive and struck the rear of a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM, driven by Vernon Terry Pierce, 61, of Cocoa.
Kief was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased at approximately 5 p.m. and Zimmerman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no other injuries.
This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion.
