The woman was found at 12:12 p.m.
BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – West Melbourne Police are conducting a death investigation after finding a 32-year-old woman on the side of the road having a medical event near US-192 and John Rhodes Blvd.
Police say the woman was in custody for possession of suspected cocaine during the medical event.
Brevard County Fire Rescue was contacted immediately, and while they were treating her, she went into full arrest.
She was transported to Melbourne Regional where she was later pronounced dead.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement was contacted and will be conducting an independent investigation.
The woman’s identity has not yet been released by police.
