BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I couldn’t be more proud of our BCSO Explorers as they swept the podium this weekend at the 2024 March Delegates Pistol Competition hosted by Palm Beach County.

Post Commander Corey Ingram placed 3rd, Sergeant Bayley Matthews placed 2nd, and Sergeant Mason Young took the 1st place win.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Explorers on their hard work, as they continue to support our community through their volunteer service.

Please join me in congratulating Corey, Bayley, and Mason on a job well done, not just in this competition, but everything they do throughout the year with this great program.

If you have a teenager between the ages 13-17 and they are interested in law enforcement, the Explorer Program is geared towards providing them with opportunities to learn about law enforcement careers, team building skills, and community service.

Often members of the Explorers are awarded scholarships to attend police academy, corrections academy, or employment in the various civilian positions at our agency.

For more information on joining our team, please email explorers@bcso.us or call our Community Services Unit at 321-264-7755.
