The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation that occurred on Saturday, June 10. The preliminary investigation found that the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute between the victim and his wife, According to the BCSO spokesperson.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation that occurred on Saturday, June 10.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department, Deputies responded at approximately 10:20 a.m. to a residence on Walter Street in Merritt Island in reference to a male who had been shot.

“Upon arrival, an adult male was found at the residence suffering from a gunshot wound,” said a BCSO spokesperson. “The male victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.”

The preliminary investigation found that the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute between the victim and his wife, According to the BCSO spokesperson.

“The investigation is continuing as agents from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units are still going through the process of collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” said a BCSO spokesperson.

The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the names of the male or female at this time, and said no arrests have been made.

Based on the preliminary investigation, there is no danger to the general public.
