BREVAD COUNTY, FLORIDA – There are some people that the only place they belong is in a jail cell, so that society is safe from their advanced levels of stupidity, selfishness, and blatant disregard for the law.

People like Douglas Moore who was arrested last night by Deputy Thomas Farragher for his 7th DUI/reckless driving involving alcohol charge.

That’s right, not his second, third, or even fourth arrest for drunk driving, but his 7th.

The arrest took place last night while we were all sleeping safe and sound in our beds when Deputy Farragher conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota SUV after the tag came back registered to a green Dodge Truck.

Upon making contact with the driver, Douglas Moore, Deputy Farragher could smell a strong odor of alcohol and requested that Moore submit to a filed sobriety test. Of course Moore refused to participate in the evaluation of his impairment at which time he was cuffed and stuffed in the back of one of our cars.

As if being drunk and driving on the streets of Brevard is not bad enough, Deputy Farragher determined that Moore had 6 prior arrests for Driving Under the Influence and was required to have an interlock device on his vehicle, which he obviously did not.

Even worse, Moore was driving an unregistered motor vehicle which he admitted to affixing the improper tag.

Moore subsequently refused to provide a sample of his breath, urine, or blood and was transported to “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge” on a “No Bond” status where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence 4th or Subsequent Charge, Refusal To Submit, and Failure To Register a Motor Vehicle.

Folks in today’s world there is zero excuse for getting behind the wheel of a vehicle after consuming alcohol.

This guy doesn’t give a crap about anyone else’s life and a Judge needs to keep him locked up from this point on.

He has had repeated chances, which to be honest he should have never gotten, but hey I guess the theory here is to keep giving him chances until he drives drunk and kill someone’s family!! What a Croc.

He needs to stay in jail and anything else is simply a failure to protect our citizens.

Great Job Deputy Farragher and I know our entire community finds comfort in knowing that you and all of our other law enforcement officers are out there protecting our streets while we sleep.
