Brevard County Sherif’s Office Takes Down Suspects on Sheriff’s High Intensity Target

Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

Imagine living next door to these two, James Williams Jr. and Kaylyn Lacole Whitson, who apparently just don’t get the concept, as since January of 2021 our agency has responded 102 times to their residence for various complaints, with over 60 of them being for disturbances.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Folks, there is absolutely nothing worse than having a bad neighbor, as our home is suppose to be our sanctuary, where we go for peace and relaxation.

Well, imagine living next door to these two, James Williams Jr. and Kaylyn Lacole Whitson, who apparently just don’t get the concept, as since January of 2021 our agency has responded 102 times to their residence for various complaints, with over 60 of them being for disturbances.

The disturbances were for are all types of complaints from playing loud music in violation of our county ordinance, to trespassing and other similar complaints.

Williams and Whitson continually and intentionally harassed their neighbors and at several junctures, our team approached them and asked for volunteer compliance to bring a stop to the complaints.

Well Williams and Whitson would have no part of trying to be a good neighbor or voluntarily complying, so we took a little different approach and put them on the Sheriff’s High Intensity Target (S.H.I.T.) List so that we could bring a stop to this madness and harassment.

Deputy J. Lewis subsequently developed probable cause for arrest warrants for both Williams and Whitson, and yesterday evening our East Precinct “Charlie” Squad cuffed and stuffed them in the back of one of our courtesy shuttles (also known as a Patrol Car) and gave them a ride to “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge” where they had pending reservations for Aggravated Stalking.

Williams and Whitson were booked into the Brevard County Jail on a “No Bond” status and now they get to see how it feels to have bad neighbors themselves!! On a bright note, they now qualify for a free T-Shirt that says “I Messed Around And Found Out In Brevard County!!”

The moral of this story is “don’t be a crappy neighbor in Brevard County or you will end up on the Sheriff’s High Intensity Target (S.H.I.T.) List and get new bad neighbors yourself at “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge!!”

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
