2023 Municipal & Special Districts Election is Nov. 7
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 2023 Municipal & Special Districts Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7th. The deadline to register to vote in this election, also known as book closing, is October 10.
Voters can visit any of the four administrative offices or go to VoteBrevard.gov to register to vote or update their voter registration.
“This will be an election only for the Cities of Cape Canaveral, Indian Harbour Beach, and Rockledge, the Town of Melbourne Beach, and the Barefoot Bay Recreational District,” said Tim Bobanic, Brevard County Supervisor of Elections.
Sample ballots for the 2023 Municipal & Special Districts Election are available on VoteBrevard.gov and will arrive in voters’ mailboxes towards the end of October.
Voters not already on the mail ballot request list have until 5:00 p.m. on October 26th to request a mail ballot be sent to them prior to the November 7th election. Military and overseas mail ballots were sent out on September 22nd and the domestic mail ballots will be sent on October 5.
Due to recent legislation, mail ballot requests expired at the end of 2022. New requests are valid for one general election cycle and if requested now are good through Dec. 31, 2024.
Requests can be made at VoteBrevard.gov, by calling 321-290-VOTE (8683), or at any of the four administrative offices.
Secure ballot intake stations (formerly known as drop boxes) are available in the lobby of all four administrative offices. Please check VoteBrevard.gov for hours of availability. Mail ballots must be received in the Supervisor of Elections Offices by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

The Logic & Accuracy Test of the election equipment, conducted per F.S. 101.5612(2), is scheduled for October 16th at the Election Support Center, located at 525 N. John Rodes Blvd. in Melbourne, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
