Brevard County Fire Rescue’s new tower truck will officially be placed into service during a traditional ”push in” ceremony scheduled for Saturday, September 2. BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue’s new tower truck will officially be placed into service during a traditional ”push in” ceremony scheduled for Saturday, September 2.

The event will take place at 9 a.m. at Station 41, located at 300 Alma Blvd.

Families are welcome to attend and truck tours will be offered as part of the event.

The new tower truck, a product of Sutphen Corporation, will serve the residents and visitors of Merritt Island at the Station 41 and will replace the current Sutphen ladder truck.

The Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 41 provides fire protection and emergency response services to the Merritt Island community.

The Fire Department’s mission is to prevent the loss of life and property. In addition to responding to fires, the Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 41 also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, and incidents involving hazardous materials.
