Brevard Public Schools had nine teams from seven schools exhibit exceptional musical and artistic flare
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit hosted the 2nd Annual Melbourne Invitational at Melbourne High School on March 9.
The event drew winter guard teams, percussion ensembles, and wind ensembles from across Florida and Georgia. Notably, Brevard Public Schools had nine teams from seven schools exhibit their exceptional musical and artistic flare.
Below are the results:
■ Johnson Middle Winter Guard – Superior Rating in Evaluation Class
■ Bayside High JV Winter Guard – Superior Rating in Evaluation Class
■ Eau Gallie High Winter Guard– 2nd Place in Regional A
■ Merritt Island High Winter Guard – 3rd Place in Regional A
■ Palm Bay Magnet High Winter Guard – 4th Place in Scholastic AAA
■ Viera High Winter Guard – 6th Place in Scholastic AAA
■ Melbourne High Winter Guard – 1st Place in Scholastic AA
■ Bayside High Winter Guard – 2nd Place in Scholastic AA
■ Viera High Concert Percussion – 1st Place in Scholastic Concert World
“Each ensemble showcased their talent and dedication. Congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and impressive performances!” said a BPS spokesperson.
