Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I had a blast on Wednesday partnering with Mindy from Lite Rock 99.3 and District Chief of Special Operations, Tom Neidert, of our very own Brevard County Fire Rescue, to conduct the live auction during the “Purses With A Purpose” event benefiting Serene Harbor and their mission to end Domestic Violence.
Serene Harbor is an amazing organization that closely partners with our agency to bring awareness to Domestic Violence in our community and to also provide a safe Haven and resources to the victims of domestic violence.
The event hosts various vendors and hundreds of attendees for a daytime gala that focuses on stopping domestic violence while also providing tons of resources to help prevent the next victim of domestic violence.
Conducting the live auction for the event was a blast and we raised a great amount of money thanks to the amazing generosity of those in attendance!! From purses, to trips, to a ride along with the Sheriff, there were some great auction items donated by the incredible sponsors for the event.
Thank you to the team at Serene Harbor for working so hard to make the event a success, everyone who attended and poured their heart into the cause, and of course our BCSO Agents who were in attendance that work closely with Serene Harbor to help protect victims of Domestic Violence.
