Brevard Sheriff’s Office Arrest Man for DUI After Found Passed Out at Stop Sign With Open Can of Four Loko in Cupholder

Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Last night, while we were all home sleeping safe and sound in our beds, Deputy Hunter Bias received a call about a suspicious vehicle that was taking the STOP sign a little too serious.

When Deputy Bias arrived in the area, the vehicle was still stopped at the stop sign, and as he approached the vehicle, he observed the driver, Gabriel Ngangang, taking a little nap behind the wheel, with the vehicle on and his hand on the gear shift.

By the looks of it, Ngangang was feeling pretty sleepy so he decided to see if he could get a free ride to “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge” where he had a reservation for DUI.

Looking through the window, Deputy Bias could see an open can of four-loko in the center console cupholder, so after he woke our friend up from his little nap, he asked him to get out of the vehicle to conduct his investigation.

Ngangang had some trouble conducting the requested exercises, and was as you could imagine…cuffed and stuffed.

While searching his vehicle, Deputies also located a glass pipe that field tested positive for meth, and a glass jar containing an unknown liquid that field tested positive for codeine.

Ultimately, he was arrested for driving under the influence, possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia!

Thanks to a concerned citizen and Deputy Bias, Ngangang can now enjoy a nap in the comfort of his semi-private room at “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge!”

Sleep tight and don’t let the cellmates bite.
