BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past weekend, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office once again partnered with the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., Florida East Coast Chapter, to give away over 300 bicycles to Brevard county children in need for Christmas, during the annual “Handlebars For The Holiday’s” event.

The partnership between BCSO and ABC continues to grow each and every year, allowing us to reach more children across the county!!

During the event, each child receives a new bicycle and a helmet, to help keep them safe as they enjoy riding their new Christmas present.

Please join me in thanking our BCSO Inmate Work Farm Unit who handles this event for our team, everyone at ABC for all they do to make this event possible, Sorenson Moving & Storage for providing a place to keep all of these amazing bikes, and of course the very gracious contractors who donated the funds to support this very worthy cause.

Like I always say, “it takes a community to protect a community,” and this is just another amazing example of how it’s done.
